New Titles by Scholes, Niven, Pournelle, Sanderson, Anders

Two fantasy titles came in this week from Tor: Book 1 of Ken Scholes’ new series, and the final volume of Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn saga. I’m excited about Scholes book as it’s a manageable 320 pages! I just might read that next. And Sanderson has been a rising star for a few years who is currently penning the final chapter in Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series. Fantasy is, indeed, alive and well.

Lou Anders is back with more top-notch science fiction, this time from Cory Doctorow, Mike Resnick, Nancy Kress, Ian McDonald, Tobias Buckell, and Paulo Bacigalupi.

Hank Wagner, Christopher Golden, and Stephen R. Bissette chronicle the works of Neil Gaiman, including comics, novels, graphic novels, screenplays, interviews, short stories–all of it!

Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle return to the world of Inferno, and Niven and Lerner bring us more from the Ringworld universe. We also received our first manga. Now, I don’t read this stuff, so I don’t know if it’s any good, but I’ll give it a shot. Gotta be open to new experiences, right?
